Wealth Structuring

Investments

We structure the family's investment portfolio with a long-term view, integrating return objectives, risk profile, tax residence and succession planning. We are not asset managers: we coordinate the legal and tax framework so that the investment serves the overall wealth strategy.

How it works

Legal framework
  • Funds and intermediaries regulated by the CMVM (Portugal) or the CVM (Brazil).
  • Automatic exchange of financial information between countries (CRS / OECD): reporting is essential.
  • Risk is inherent to any investment; we do not guarantee returns. We always confirm the applicable framework.
In depth
01

Investing with an estate-wide view

An investment does not live in isolation: it interacts with your tax residence, the currency you spend in, the countries where you have family and the succession plan. Looking only at returns, without this framework, usually leads to tax and succession surprises.

Our role is legal and tax — designing the right structure so that the investment, managed by regulated institutions, serves the family's goals with security and compliance.

02

Transparency and reporting

We live in a world of automatic exchange of financial information between countries (OECD's CRS). Foreign accounts and investments are, as a rule, reported and must be declared in the country of tax residence.

Opaque structures create risk, not savings. We always work transparently: the goal is to organise and protect, never to hide.

Frequently asked questions

Do you manage my money?

No. We handle the legal, tax and succession structure; management stays with regulated institutions we help you select.

Must I report foreign investments?

As a rule, yes. There is automatic exchange of information between countries (CRS) and reporting obligations in your country of tax residence.

Does investing abroad affect my succession?

It can, significantly. The location of the assets and your residence influence the applicable law and the taxes on transfer — which is why we integrate investment and succession.

Can I invest in Portugal and live in Brazil?

Yes, but you must address tax residence, double-tax treaties and reporting obligations in both countries.
